The Bucket List

Sunday, 9am, I walk down the boardwalk with the sun’s golden rays showing me the way. The bucket list, almost complete. One more task and everything I ever dreamed of, fulfilled. 

Then, out of nowhere, a bright flash to my right. It’s like an angel from heaven teasing me to peek. I give in and stare. Beautiful crimson tones spread across the wooden deck in various patterns. On my left, the open sea and a fresh coastal breeze. “What a wonderful way to start the day.”

Then stress kicks in, more people surround me, “Get out of my way, move it asshole!”
