When we work on the creative endeavor we wish to share with the world, we may allow ourselves to slip into a funk, which I did tonight. When this occurs, we lose confidence and feel we don’t have everything needed to nail down the narrative. But like the Queen of Cups, we’re mature in our ability as the creative energy swirls around us like water.
The emotions—the storyline awaits as it streams through our veins. It waits for us to lay the words down on the page. We focus and ground ourselves in the ideas we want to convey. Yet, even though it feels like we have the entire story written, for whatever reason, we’re blocked. We can’t put our thoughts into words.
And this is when we must push forward and not let one moment slip by. We must proceed with agility and passion. With our pens held high, it’s time for ink to splatter, no matter how the lines may look. Because, as we have learned from our experience, we know every splendid story begins as a draft.
This now becomes the defining moment. We know what we must do, but do we do it? Do we sit idle or charge onward like the Knight of Swords? I say we charge and attack the story. We allow our words to pour into our paragraphs without mercy. They will land however they see fit. We let our dialogs take form with each stroke of the pen.
And when we do, our story emerges. We make our final edits and prepare to send her out into the world for others to enjoy.
All we needed was to let our passion flow. Because once we did, we realized the story was already there, ready to be written.
