The Jury’s decision? “Guilty.”
John’s sentence, “Death by firing squad.”
The charge? “John dared to speak against the firm. He refused to comply with their unconstitutional corporate policies and mandates.”
Execution scheduled? “Immediate.”
Back against the wall, blindfolded, the guards set one last cigarette in John’s mouth and lit it. He takes two long drags and exhales. The commander shouts, “Ready, aim—”
A news flash breaks across the loudspeakers. Outraged, the commander yells, “FIRE!”
BANG — The crack of the rifles roar as the announcement echoes throughout the city.
Just in, the eradication of corporate law confirmed. Victory for the people, freedom of speech restored. All prisoners to be released within one hour, executions terminated.
